Le “Evoluzioni” tecnologiche di questi ultimi anni hanno riesumato la fotogrammetria nell’ambito dei Beni Culturali, consentendo alle procedure fotogrammetriche ed ai software dedicati di produrre elaborati tridimensionali direttamente dalle immagini. Un esempio esplicativo di quest’ultimo periodo, che ha permesso l’impiego di varie tecniche di acquisizione e di elaborazione, riguarda la torre più alta del centro storico di Mantova, denominata “Torre della Gabbia”.

The technological evolution of the past few years has reshaped photogrammetry in the field of Cultural Heritage, allowing photogrammetric procedures and dedicated software to produce three-dimensional elaborations directly from the images. An explanatory example of the latest period, which enabled the use of various techniques of acquisition and processing, concerns the tallest tower in the historical center of Mantua, called "Tower of the Cage".
